VPN Subscriptions and Client Basics
Get your subscription from the user dashboard, then import it into your device. Once the server list appears, connect and verify your exit location.
Interfaces vary across platforms and client versions. Options such as “Subscription,” “Configuration,” and “Import” may have different names. The steps below describe what to do, not exact button labels. Check the user dashboard for current client downloads and installation instructions.
Create an Account and Open the User Dashboard
Use the “Try It Free” button below to open the VPNSR account creation page in the user dashboard. No email address is required; create your account with a username and password. Choose a username you’ll recognize, then set a unique password. If the page asks you to enter the password again, make sure both entries match before submitting. This is your service account. Use the same login details to check plans, get your subscription, download clients, and submit support tickets.
Follow the on-screen instructions, then open your account overview and confirm that you can log in. Store your username and password in a trusted password manager instead of chat history or public notes. Not seeing a server list yet doesn’t necessarily mean account creation failed: signing in, activating a plan, and connecting through a client are separate steps. You’ll also need to check your plan status and import your subscription.
If you already have an account, use the “Log in” link in the page header. There’s no need to create another account just to switch devices. VPNSR allows unlimited devices to be connected at the same time, and you can manage subscriptions for all of them with the same service account. Data usage is still based on your selected plan. First make sure your account is working, then choose a plan—this avoids repeatedly trying a subscription that isn’t ready yet.
Choose a Plan and Check Your Order Status
Open the plans section in the user dashboard. First compare monthly subscriptions with data packages, then choose based on how you expect to use the service. Monthly plans are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on the activation date. If you often stream video or use multiple devices, consider their combined data usage, not just how often you use one device.
If your usage is occasional, compare the data packages: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. Data is available until it’s used up and never expires. Data packages and monthly subscriptions work differently: “never expires” does not mean monthly data carries over. If you need to upgrade a monthly subscription mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days. Before proceeding, review the change details shown in the dashboard and make sure they’re what you expect.
After selecting a plan, check the price, data allowance, and plan type on the order confirmation page, then pay using an available method. VPNSR supports Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT. Follow the payment page instructions for your chosen method. After paying, return to the user dashboard to check that the order is complete and the corresponding plan appears in your account overview.
If the payment page shows that payment is complete but your account overview hasn’t updated, reload the account page and check the order before trying again. Don’t submit the same order repeatedly. If you still have questions, open a dashboard support ticket and include the plan you selected and the order status—never share your password or full subscription link. The service offers a 30-day refund policy; see the Terms of Service for details. For a full comparison, visit the Plans page.
Get Your Subscription and Keep the Import Page Handy
Once your plan is confirmed, open the account overview in the user dashboard and look for the subscription, copy link, or client import option. A subscription isn’t a webpage for everyday browsing; it provides the configuration and server details your client needs. If the dashboard offers a quick import option for your client, use it. If you haven’t installed a client yet, keep the dashboard open and return to import your subscription after installation.
To import manually, use the dashboard’s copy option to copy the complete subscription, then paste it into the client’s subscription URL field. Don’t add a domain, remove parameters, or use the login page URL as the subscription URL. The example below shows the format only. It’s a dummy address for illustration, won’t connect, and shouldn’t be copied into a client.
https://example.com/sub?token=YOUR_TOKEN
Keep your full subscription link as securely as your account credentials. Don’t post it in public forums, online conversion tools, or screenshots of support tickets. To troubleshoot, you usually only need to share the error message, operating system, and client status. Before taking a screenshot, hide the subscription URL and other account details. To import on another device, get the link from the trusted user dashboard rather than forwarding an old chat message; it’s easier to verify this way.
After importing, update the subscription in your client. Pasting the address without saving or updating may leave the server list empty. If the update fails, first check that your plan is active, the URL is complete, and your device can reach the subscription endpoint. Then visit the Help Center. Don’t repeatedly overwrite your existing configuration when you’re not sure what caused the problem.
Import the Client for Your Platform
Choose your operating system in the client downloads section of the user dashboard and use a client provided there that supports subscription imports. You can access the clients for Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux after signing in; you don’t need to buy a plan first. To load a working service configuration, however, you’ll need to check your account’s subscription status. iOS works differently—see the instructions below. This page doesn’t provide direct installer links, and you shouldn’t look for similarly named installers in search results.
Windows: Import a Subscription and Set Up the System Proxy
Select Windows in the dashboard and download and install the client using the current instructions. Once it’s running, find the subscription or configuration management page. Choose the option to add a remote subscription or import from a link, paste the content copied from your account overview, then save and update it. If you need to enter a configuration name, choose one that’s easy to recognize. This is just a local label—don’t enter your password.
After the update, you should see available servers on the configuration or server page. Enable the configuration you just imported, select a server, then turn on the system proxy or connection toggle as directed by the client. Simply opening the app usually doesn’t route traffic from other apps. If your system asks for network permission, check that the request comes from the client you just installed before allowing it. Avoid running other proxy apps at the same time, as their settings may conflict.
macOS: Import a Configuration and Grant Network Permissions
Select macOS in the dashboard and follow the instructions for your device and operating system to get the client. When opening it for the first time, follow the system and dashboard installation instructions. Don’t disable your system’s security features to deal with a file from an unknown source. In the client, add the remote address under subscription or configuration management, save and update it, then check that the server list has loaded. Set the imported configuration as the one currently in use.
Next, select a server and connect. The client may route traffic through the system proxy or system network settings; follow the client’s instructions for any permissions required. If the menu bar shows that the connection is on but the app you want to use still behaves the same, check which configuration and proxy mode are active, then restart the app. Verify separately in the final step whether your browser and other desktop apps use the same route.
Android: Import a Subscription and Allow the Connection
Select Android in the dashboard and install the client as instructed. Open the app, go to subscriptions or configurations, choose the option to add from a link, paste the full subscription, then save and update it. You can also use a matching import option explicitly provided by the dashboard. If your system asks which app should open the link, choose the client you just installed rather than an unrelated app. After the update succeeds, return to the server list and select a server.
The first time you connect, your system may ask permission to create a VPN connection. The client needs this permission to route network traffic, so check the app name before confirming. If another VPN connection is already active on your device, disconnect it before enabling this client. Once connected, test access. If the connection only drops when you switch apps or lock the screen, check the app’s background and battery settings first; there’s no need to change every system setting right away.
iOS: Get and Import the Client as Instructed in the Dashboard
Select iOS in the dashboard and follow the instructions on the page to get the client. The App Store download option for iOS is available to accounts with an active paid plan. If your account doesn’t meet these requirements yet, complete the plan steps first, then check again. Don’t use desktop installation instructions or enter your account password on an unfamiliar page. Check the dashboard after signing in for the available clients and current instructions.
After installation, use an import option provided by the dashboard or manually add the link under subscriptions or configurations in the client. Save and update, check that the server list appears, then select a server and connect. When iOS first asks to add a VPN configuration, confirm that the request comes from the client you chose and follow the prompts. The status bar connection icon is a useful indicator, but you should still verify by opening the website and app you want to use.
For Linux, get the client and platform-specific instructions from the user dashboard. Across all platforms, check that the subscription was saved, the configuration updated, the correct configuration is enabled, and the connection is on. Your client login details and subscription URL are different things—don’t enter one in place of the other.
Connect to a Server and Verify Cross-Border Access
Once the import is complete, choose a location based on what you need to access, then connect. A country name alone doesn’t tell you whether a server will work well with a particular platform; server type, your current network, and the destination service all affect performance. For initial setup, use the client’s recommended standard mode. Once you’ve confirmed access, you can adjust split tunneling. For more on global proxy mode, split tunneling, and how streaming platforms determine your location, read the Streaming Guide. For now, complete the basic connection checks.
Start your checks in the client: make sure the configuration updated without errors, the right server is selected, and the connection is on. Then check that your browser’s exit location matches what you expect and open the website you need. Finally, launch the target app separately and check that sign-in, content loading, or playback works. Browser access doesn’t guarantee that every app uses the same proxy route. An app may have its own proxy settings or retain a session from before you connected.
If a page still shows your previous location, reload it or close and restart the app, then check the active proxy mode. Don’t switch through a long list of locations just to test the connection; frequent changes can disrupt your account sessions on destination platforms. Streaming differences may also depend on your account region, content rights, and the platform’s policies. Changing your exit location doesn’t guarantee that content will be available to play.
When something goes wrong, retrace the setup steps: check that your plan is active in the account overview, the subscription updates, the correct configuration is selected, and the connection is on. If the configuration has loaded but you still can’t access anything, try another server. If only one app fails, focus on that app instead of deleting all your settings. Change one setting at a time so you can tell what made a difference.
If you still need help, search for the issue in the Help Center or submit a request through user dashboard support tickets. Include your device operating system, client, selected location, error message, and the checks you’ve already tried. Don’t include your password or full subscription URL. Once setup is complete, you’ll usually just need to open the client, update the subscription, and select a suitable server—there’s no need to create another account or place a new order.
